Stayed in San Fran many times but the 1Hotel is by far the best, imo. It's got a boutique feel to it. Room are very well done out to a high European feel standard. Bed was crazy comfy nad blinds / curtains meant I could black out the room. Great location by the water, shops. Great service from pre check in to billing after check out. 100% planning to stay again. There on business and the 1Hotel team made it that little bit easier, many thanks!
3/5 stars Stayed at the One Hotel in San Francisco and came away with mixed feelings. The stay itself was comfortable, but there were a few things that felt surprisingly underwhelming for the price point and branding. The positives first: check-in was smooth and efficient, the bed was very comfortable, the sheets were exceptionally soft, and the room was impressively quiet. Breakfast was also good and came out quickly, which I appreciated. That said, there were several misses. First, there was no face wash provided in the bathroom — a small detail, but something you’d expect at this tier of hotel. Second, the bathrobes were disappointing. Instead of a plush luxury robe, they felt more like thin jersey knit material. Definitely not the cozy experience you’d expect. The biggest issue was the $48 amenity fee. It’s hard to justify considering the gym is tiny. I ended up going down the block to Equinox instead, which made the charge feel even more pointless. Finally, I asked the front desk to update my bill before checkout and was specifically told a certain charge would not appear. Then my credit card was charged later anyway, forcing me to spend additional time calling to sort it out. Not the end of the world, but frustrating and avoidable. Overall, there are some genuinely comfortable aspects to the property, but the value and service consistency didn’t fully match expectations.
1 Hotel San Francisco was the perfect setting for a long weekend solo stay — I absolutely loved it. From the staff to the amenities to the overall atmosphere, everything was truly 10/10. The vibe is dreamy, grounded in thoughtful design and a genuine commitment to sustainability. Special shoutout to Veronica, the host at Terrene, and Kayla, our server — both provided warm, personal service that made dining at the hotel’s organic, farm-to-table restaurant such a pleasure. Every meal was delicious and beautifully done. My morning at Bamford Wellness Spa was unforgettable! Sweeping 8th-floor views of the Bay Bridge paired with one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Crystal was fabulous. Pure bliss! The location is also ideal: walkable to great coffee shops and the Ferry Building weekend farmers market. True value, true alignment, and an all-around perfect weekend stay.
Truly one of the best stays. They service, the location, the cleanliness was beyond amazing. I had the privilege of staying here for 2 nights and had the best time. The staff was so accommodating to any request I had, the gym was very clean and the spa was so relaxing. Close/walking distance to everything by the piers and a quick bike ride to everything else. Had a wonderful stay and would love to be back!
Our housekeeper Magdalena was super caring and nice. Also the concierge Darlene arranged for us to get roasted crab delivered to us during the dinner rush. We couldn’t make it to the restaurant since our toddler fell asleep. This hotel has impeccable service that rivals the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons. We will be back. The views and the service are exceptional.
