Spacious city center surrounded by a cathedral & important buildings with notable architecture.via Google

The monumental central square of the city, framed by the cathedral, the justice palace, the capitol, and the mayor's office.

Good to know
Always busy with pigeons, street vendors, and political protests.

Always like visiting the historical part of the city and this plaza definitely evoked history. Majestic buildings against the backdrop of the mountain, there was a Saturday market and vendors selling their arts and wares, it was busy. Did not see anything bad but we were warned to be careful.

Of course you go to Plaza de Bolivar in Bogota. I recommend a walking tour on calles 10 and 11. Reward yourself with a nice craft beer at the Bogota Brewing Company (everybody just says BBC) accross from the Presidential Palace. I am not a big graffiti person, but I found it very interesting when a local was telling me about different graffiti artists. I haven't been on the graffiti tour, but it might be worth the time next trip.

The historic heart of Bogota! Here you can see and learn all about its history! There are lots of street vendors selling souvenirs, drinks or fruits to refresh yourself! Definitely a must visit when being in Bogota!

Overrated in my opinion! Social media makes it look a lot nicer than what it really is. It’s not a bad place to see but it just feels like any cathedral plaza you’d see, fairly unassuming and grey. There are lot of people trying to sell you stuff and pigeon poop. However the streets nearby are pleasant and cool to visit! Also the church is nice!
